Sunscreen in January

I'm really just killing some time while the kids are still in bed. Kids = Kar and Alex...We went grocery shopping at Woolworth's last night, meat was too expensive to justify it yet. I bought pasta and pesto, it was okay but my pesto is definitely better. Maybe it's because I bough the cheapest stuff. We did buy gigantic ears of corn which were really good. I thin it's in season right now because there are stands every where. Otherwise, pretty much most of the fruit we saw was from the US. That was really disappointing! Maybe we'll have better luck elsewhere.

The scenery is nothing special yet. It's not as green as we had imagined. Alex thought it looks like the Napa Valley in CA.. I wouldn't know. Some parts kind of remind me of S. Minnesota- lots of rolling hills and corn fields. It's more hilly though and off in the distance there are some low mountains. We've heard the south Island is the one that is more scenic.

It's only 8:50 am here and it's already hot. A couple for people have reminded us that there is no ozone above NZ so wear sunscreen!...Tonight we're going to go out to a local bar that supposedly has free Internet for patrons. It's also highly recommended as bar. We'll try to post some pictures then.

My internet time is almost up...hopefully I'll have an exciting experience to tell you about tonight - Kar has a waterproof camera which is proving invaluable, it's great to be able to take pictures of our water experiences.

I'm not sure what happened to my comment. But here it is again... 6:30 pm Saturday. Sounds like you're not so far from home, eating ears of corn and shopping at Woolworths. Don't get a sunburn! That could be a real spoiler.
Feliza fed us like little piggies today at Blythe's baby shower. Pot stickers, spring rolls, lumpia, shrimp in a blanket, asparagus wrapped in pancetta, and assorted sweets. Tomorrow I must get out and get some exercise!!!
I hope you are having a great time. You have already seen much more of the world than I.
ENJOY!! Love, EEn

Use the Sunscreen!!! I'm so surprised you've managed to post three times already. Love it! I don't miss you as much this way. :-)
