The Answer

Look close. This wasn't even the biggest one I've seen. They're everywhere.

Hello Sara,
I am guessing that there is a BIG spider hiding in those webs. EEK! Spiders and I have always kept a distance. Since they are everywhere are you getting used to them? Probably not. I remember on Isle Royale having to check the bed at night. I'd often find the big fat-bodied spiders between the sheets. Sometimes I still have nightmares that I am there and spiders are oozing out of every crack and crevice in the walls. I hope you're not as squeamish.
The fires in Australia are big news here. They look absolutely Hellish. I hope you are far from danger!
We're under an ice storm warning today. What a different world in the Northern hemisphere. Enjoy your half! Love, EEn

Hi Sara, I keep meaning to ask, when you flush the loo does the water go counter-clockwise?

I guessed that you were having some insect issues down there. That spider is a beauty. You should pretend that you're there to photograph insects, and then you can be thrilled when you find fantastic specimens.

He is a biggie for sure. Have you seen any snakes? Isn't Australia known for its very poisonous ones? Just watch where you put your feet!
