We went out to dinner tonight, and it was soo good it´s worth writing about already! The food was nothing spectacular, but it was very good! I´m still full! We had went to a tapas restaurant that was recommended by the hostel. We ate outside which was nice, all of the sounds add to the experience. There was music almost the entire time, different types: spanish guitar, hammer dulcimer, and then guitar again but all popular songs in the U.S. The only foul moment was when I had to tell one of the many rose vendors to leave us alone (most leave when you say no, this one was too persistent, like the umbrella vendor). Anyway, we had pasta salad and greek salad. The greek salad was cheese (mozzerellaish), tomatoes and maybe pickles, we´re not sure. The pasta salad was pretty much tuna salad, both were pretty good. Then we had veal sirloin cuts on french bread (so good!), bravadas (Fried potatoes with mayo and some spicy sauce), coquettes (Fried cheese and ham balls, good but not as good as the rest) and fried cuttlefish. I surprisingly ate a lot of the cuddlefish, it reminded me of calamari. I think we liked it so much because they actually salted stuff. We´re so desperate for salt that we buttered bread and then salted it (With salt that we brought from home). Ok, and for desert we had catalan style creme which was creme brulee with a little cinnamon and creme caramel. We were stuffed after that, still are! And it was cheap!
Anyway, I´m going to try to go to sleep in our 90 degree room, as long as I´m full I´m sleepy.

Ahhh, the rose vendors...now I remember...most of them are gypsies and can be quite persistant. I can't believe your Tapa's meal was 'cheap'. I thought Spain to be rather expensive. Make sure you have Pailla when you're there. Oh, and try their pizza too. Wish I was with you! (I'm sure you're both glad I'm not!)Love, MomA
A good meal always makes the world look better. There seems to be seems to be rude people in every country. Hold onto the good memories. Love Ya both
Hey kids, Sometimes the roughest roads lead to the best places. It the local's way of culling out the insincere tourists who just want to grab and go.
I'm glad you're in a happy place now. I am having a peasant's meal myself tonight. Pasta boiled in ten minutes on the stove with a "good" bottled sauce heated on the side. I know that you are craving some omfort foods too. In the mean time keep gobbling up all the authentic food you can. Sorry I missed the call today too. I was at Nancy's. It was good to hear your voice on the answering machine Sara. Next time I want to hear James peep in too ! :-) I need to see a world clock to see what time it is there. Three years already!
After the two of you are home again you will probably start to feel the itch to travel again.
Maybe with both of your talents you will be overseas interning. You never know where your
travels might continue to take you. Whether home or abroad enjoy the view!
Never panic. Love EEN
So, I read a great portion of your blog over the phone to Grandma A. She can't quite grasp what a blog is and how long it will remain in history. I think she believes you are both keeping diaries/journals as well, that can be preserved until the end of time. She also thinks it's important that you record all the fights you must be having with each other. :-)Hope you are both in sweet slumber and that your room has cooled off and the Spaniards aren't keeping you awake.

and don't forget the baby octopus...if you like mussels and calamari, you'll love them too...and found in every tapas bar I went to. Bon apetite!
