Pack your bags!

James and I have only been in Manarola for a few hours and we'd already recommend visiting here! The are five town in total, all old fishing villages built into the mountain sides on the mediterranean. We walked around for a few minutes this evening and saw lemon, apricot, peach, kumkwat(sp?) trees, grape vines galore and even an artichoke! This is also where pesto was invented. Tomorrow we're going to go hiking and swimming, maybe snorkeling. We'll be sure to take lots of pictures!

Ciao!

Hi, I suppose to be at lunch but I had to check up on your blog. Hadn't read since May 30th entry. I was so into reading your blog I forgot about my lunch time. Thanks for clearing Uncle Craig up on bed bugs. I will surely pass the infro along. So will you make us pizza when we see you next? Can't wait to see pictures. Will share your blog with grandpa fathers day weekend. Love you.

It soounds like you finally get to "vacation" instead of just being tourists. It seems that there are sooooo many places that you just have to visit, that it can become a job. No matter how interesting they may be. Actually enjoying yourselves and having time to meet some people takes a little relaxation and free time. All is well at home, Love MomC

Where can you pick me up? Man this sounds like something I should be in on. I think I would want to volunteer at an orchard for a few days. I'd eat myself full on fresh fruits, veggies and pesto pasta, pizza and fresh fish. Oh yeah, then I'd go for a swiim in the sea!! What a dream. So glad you are having such a wonderful and wondrous time. It sounds like you
have found paradise. What a honeymoon so close to your anniversary. You two have earned it so just keep on having a great journey!
Love and kisses, EEN

Pack your bags! I wish! I have never heard of Manarola so I did google it and Whow! No wonder you recommend it. It looks so tiny! Will you visit the other 4 towns as well? Sounds like you can practically hike to all of them. How neat. I wonder how long these buildings, homes, etc, can last without some major architecural repairs. You would think after time they would just fall apart. And the photos I saw of Manarola look as though many of those homes could fall right into the sea. So beautiful though. I did respond to your Pompeii blog but when I 'published' it, it never showed up. I'm curious about what you'll eat in such a small village and how expensive that might be. Could you spend an entire week there? Just in case Nancy and Gary consider it for their overseas travel.....

I can't wait for my 'coffee table' book. ;-) (great idea Kathy!)

Hey, you're anniversary is one week from today. Three years already! I hope spending it in Barcelona is all that it should be. I have Peter's graduation this weekend and Ryan's 30th birthday party on the 16th.

I hope you two will actually want to come home. We miss you but are so happy that you're having this awesome time. Love, MomA
