Austria, Switzerland, France Update

Were in an internet cafe in Geneva, so this is going to be quick because I only have a few minutes. Austria was probably the most scenic place I have ever seen, absolutely beautiful. Switzerland was pretty too but so expensive. We hiked a little bit in the Alps our calves hurt for several days. Annecy, France was beautiful too but it rained almost the entire time we were there, we had wanted to go swimming and rent peddle boats but instead we stayed at our hotel and let our calves rest. Aix les Bains was very nice too, but it was still fairly cold and rainy. Our hotel situation was not cool, but we managed to find it (Our first cab ride), more details later. Now were killing time until our train leaves for Venice. When I get a chance Ill leave a better blog. James turn with the computer.

Hey! So good to hear from you again! I have been checking your blog every few hours for the past two days. (I was even up at 2 a.m. this morning to check it.) Now I have to google Austria and check it out. It's good you had some down time. If it weren't raining you probably wouldn't have taken it. It's hard to imagine that you two are really there and even harder to imagine what it's like. Love ya both! MomA

Hi Sara and James, Good to hear from you again. Are you feeling weary from all the traveling? I've seen some pretty spectacular pictures of Austria. Is that where Hitler had one of his hideouts? Seems to me I remember seeing it in a movie (Schindler's list?) and it was one of those beautiful fairy tale places. Not a place he was entitled to for very long. Too bad things are so expensive. I suppose it forces you to be pretty creative and live as many of the natives do. I hope you are able to eke out a reasonably comfy room and
board. Maybe you could hire on for a day or two in a restaurant or a farm. Youare both talented and hard working. Stay well and rested.
Love EEN

Hi J & S,
Sometimes rain is God's way of saying relax. It is great that you are having adventures. Sometimes the most memorable things on a trip are the ones you don't plan for. I don't think anything is as sectacular as the Alps. Love to you both, Momc
